Ivan Musingo
Investment Analyst
Ivan most recently worked at the Center for Technology Design and Development (CTDD), Makerere University as a Student Researcher for innovation in agriculture and agribusinesses. In this role, he was in charge of a fish dryer project which focused on improving fish quality and reducing postharvest losses to increase the productivity of small-scale fish businesses. Through this role, he developed a deep appreciation for the role that understanding the root cause of systemic constraints plays in formulation of sustainable interventions.
He has also previously worked with Amarin Financial Group, a company that focuses on the growth of SMEs and start-up business. The company collaborates with a portfolio of partners that include USAID, Feed the Future, GOAL, and Credit Suisse. While at Amarin, Ivan was actively involved in the development of accounting software and set up of businesses processes for rural businesses. He is passionate about rural and small businesses and the role digital technologies and innovation can play in in structuring businesses and optimising operations.
Ivan holds a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Makerere University. He is currently pursuing an ACCA Level I.
