Brian has experience in managing businesses that range from Bridge Finance, FMCG Distribution, Real Estate Development and Commercial Forestry.
Under his Stewardship as Managing Director, Rutungu Distributors Ltd grew to be one of the top contract distributors of East African Breweries Ltd in Uganda with revenues growing by over 300% in 3 years.
In 2010, Brian took over Environ-Sense (U) Ltd, a forestry company with 60 hectares of pine, and turned it around through operations and governance engineering. Six years later, Environ-Sense now owns 300 more hectares, which are planted and maintained according to internationally accepted standards.
As Managing Director of Rutungu Investments, Brian got experience structuring complex financial transactions. He also gained considerable experience managing residential and commercial real estate projects from inception, design, evaluation of construction bids, procurement, contractor and consultant supervision, renovations and property maintenance.
Brian has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering degree from the University of Cape Town.
