ASIGMA announced that Daniel Mutumba has been appointed Deputy Team Leader, MSE Recovery Fund Facility Management. A deep wealth of internal capacity to convert knowledge project concepts into actionable implementation for the public, private, and development sectors is the underpinning of ASIGMA’s value offering across the investment value chain of project preparation, fundraising, and project management.
Daniel Mutumba said: “I look forward to ASIGMA, as the facility manager, effectively carrying out portfolio monitoring and development of associated technology-based tools that ensure transparency and preservation of capital as we build back the resilience of MSEs that employ millions of people in the country.”
Daniel joins ASIGMA with over 20 years of national and international experience across board, strategic, technical, and operational levels. He has managed several multi-million-dollar funding streams and dozens of external and internal audits engagements with various firms across the private, public, and development sectors.
The announcement comes as ASIGMA implements the Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) Recovery Fund in partnership with Financial Sector Deepening (FSD) Uganda with the responsibility of effective management of the funds through advising FSD Uganda & the Technical Investment Committee on the Investment Strategy, criteria of participating financial institutions, undertaking due diligence & financial monitoring of the participating financial institutions and treasury management of the funds to ensure capital preservation.
