Peter Arnold Atwine
Associate, Access-to-Finance Programs
Arnold started his career at KPMG Advisory Uganda specializing in International Development Advisory Services (IDAS). There, he was involved in development advisory services such as fund management, capital cost recovery, financial monitoring and independent verification works in both the government and private sector.
During his time at KPMG, Arnold notably worked on the UMEME capital cost recovery project where close to USD 100M was successfully recovered. Arnold offered procurement and fund management services to Ministry of Health on the most recent “Under the Net” malaria campaign funded by Global Fund, managing USD 600,000 for 4 districts in Uganda. He also managed and coordinated a team of cahiers for a fund in excess of USD 2M for 8 other districts. Arnold has also offered financial monitoring services on behalf of donors to FSD Uganda for a fund of USD 120,050.
Arnold was also heavily vested in the Energy for Rural Transformation project by Rural Electrification Agency funded by GOU and World Bank. While on this Project, he engaged in desktop and physical verification of electricity connections to meet both donor and regulatory standards, coordinated field audits, designed data collection tools as well as accrued revenue computations for the utility companies.
Arnold has developed a passion and keen interest in supporting business enterprises to raise capital, develop proper business models and plans to achieve sustainable growth and longevity within the economic climate of Uganda.
Arnold holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Makerere University and is currently a level 2 ACCA candidate.
