Sydney interned in the Macroeconomics department of Uganda’s National Planning Authority (NPA). In this role, he supported the preparation of monthly economic reports on the Ugandan economy. He part of the team that built a macroeconomic database that was used as a data source for the economic models used in the preparation of Uganda’s third National Development Plan (NDP III).
Sydney also worked with Fortitude Solutions Limited, an agency that provides digital marketing, website design and development, branding and creative design services. In this role, he engaged for a multitude of clients in the mining, hospitality, education, and public sectors. This role gave him a deep appreciation for nuances of client needs across sectors.
Sydney is self-motivated and passionate about data. He is curious about numbers and is always on the look-out for actionable insights that can be derived from a given data set.
He holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Quantitative Economics from Makerere University.
