Arnold Kigonya

Systems Analyst

Arnold is passionate about data analysis. He has a wealth of experience in excel power pivot tools which he has leveraged to digitize the business processes of small businesses.

Prior to joining ASIGMA, he worked as a Research Assistant under netLabs!UG, a research organisation under the College of Engineering, Design, Art, and Technology at Makerere University. The research focused on developing a working framework that can be used to assess and measure the resilience and sustainability of transport infrastructure in Uganda. In this role, Arnold interviewed stakeholders in the transportation space in Uganda from both urban and rural settings. The role also involved carrying out an extensive literature review and contextualization to fit Uganda’s needs.

He interned at Eskom Uganda Limited, where he first interfaced with the collection and analysis of data to assess the structural integrity of the dams in Jinja. This led to his interest in data analysis which influenced his application to ASIGMA.
