ASIGMA is proud to announce the commencement of its work as the implementation partner for the Revitalization of the Lesotho Textile and Apparel Sector (RLTAS) Project.
The RLTAS is a World Bank-funded project through Competitiveness and Financial Inclusion (CAFI), a strategic initiative aimed at boosting the country’s manufacturing economy and coordinated by the Lesotho National Development Corporation.
ASIGMA’s Role in Revitalising Lesotho’s Textile and Apparel Sector
ASIGMA through the RLTAS Project will support Lesotho’s textile and apparel firmsto improve productivity, quality and market competitiveness.
Furthermore, the firm will strengthen the Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC), building its capacity to attract investment, promote exports and sustain similar competitiveness initiatives beyond the project period.
The Road Ahead: What Happens Next?
Beyond the two-year project period of transforming domestic production, the future of the RLTAS project carries significant implications for Lesotho and the broader African industrial landscape, strengthening Africa’s collective capacity to satisfy global quality specifications and compete favourably in international markets.
