Samuel started his career as a Freelance Data Analyst. In this role, he worked closely with Ministry of Public Service staff to built dashboards to track changes in the Ugandan Integrated Personnel and Payroll System (IPPS).
He later worked as a Data Manager & Quality Coordinator at RSV Engineering Group Ltd, a geotechnical & Structural investigations firm. The scope of his responsibilities involved automating the company’s data management structure, designing and implementing databases to track projects. As the Quality Coordinator, he was in charge of the design and deployment of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with the ISO 9000 and 17025 specifications. This role gave him a deep appreciation of issues involved in data protection, document procedures and workflows, data quality control and validation.
Samuel is passionate about using data to derive actionable insights. He has a wealth of skills and knowledge in advanced data analytics, business intelligence, data visualization and machine learning.
Samuel holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Statistics from Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka as a Presidential Scholarships for Foreign Students Scholar.
